SAN ANGELO - Ralph Hiller, age 74, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Williams of Edmond Boulevard Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Belvedere Memorial Park.

Ralph was born Sept. 6, 1936, in Priddy, Texas, and lived a full life. He was an avid fisherman, bowler and hunter. A longtime resident of San Angelo, and Navy veteran, he retired from Goodyear Proving Grounds after 32 years. He was a great father. Never met a stranger, larger than life, and an all around good guy.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Laverne Hiller, his parents, and his sister Valeda Beacham.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Hiller and family of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Matthew Hiller and family of Newark, Del.; and son, Tony Hiller and family of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandsons and one granddaughter.

He's gone to be with the Lord like O.C. Fisher Lake, his favorite place to fish.
