COLEMAN — A private memorial service for Marvin Hartman, 75, of Lake Brownwood and formerly of Coleman, will be held at a later date.
His body will be cremated, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Coleman County Medical Center.
He was born July 13, 1934, in Hobbs, N.M., to Sterling F. Hartman and Mary Olive Boroughs Hartman. On June 8, 1952, he was married to Nelda Folkner in Pecos. He worked for Oil Transport Company in Abilene as a sales manager.
He retired in 1996. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda Hartman of Lake Brownwood; two daughters, Terri Cypert and husband James of Cisco and Kathie Wedeking of Brownwood; two sons, Lawrence Hartman of Harrison, Ark., and David Hartman and wife Cindy, of Houston; sister, Darla Martinez and husband Leo of Chama, N.M.; three brothers, Larnce Hartman and wife Helen of Dalhart, A.J. Hartman and wife Hazel of Albuquerque, N. M., and Ken Hartman of Chama, N.M.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hartman.
