COLEMAN — Funeral services for the Rev. Frank Taylor, 89, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kelly Crenshaw, the Rev. Lyn Rice and the Rev. J.D. Fry officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Anna Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, at Songbird Nursing Home.
He was born June 21, 1918, in Gouldbusk to William and Mary Junetta Taylor. On Aug. 11, 1938, he was married to Maymie Cummings in Lamesa.
Survivors include his wife, Maymie Taylor of Brownwood; daughters, Etta Hamlin of Brownwood and Jean Ambrosek of Bangs; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wilburn Taylor of Santa Anna; sister, Avadale Kilgore of Midland; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Billy Frank Taylor, one grandson, Frankie James Hamlin; three sisters; and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund in Brownwood or The Assembly of God Church of Santa Anna.
