COLEMAN - Memorial services for Juanene Gallaway, 71, of Abilene will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Clark officiating. Her body was cremated.
She died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Hendrick Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Coleman, to Sarah Aleene Jones Gallaway and Presley Taylor Gallaway. She grew up in Glen Cove, attended school at Talpa and graduated from Coleman High School. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and received her Masterís in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She was a teacher on military bases around the world, teaching in Japan, the Philippines and Germany. She moved to Abilene in 2002 from Waco and was a member of Highland Church of Christ in Abilene.
Survivors include her mother, Aleene Gallaway of Coleman; two sisters, Mary OíConnor of Dallas, Sheila Ann Jones of Albany; one brother, Leon Gallaway of Lockhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and an infant sister, Carolyn Sue Gallaway.
