GOLDTHWAITE - Funeral services for James Nelson Crouch, 84, of Mullin will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel with burial to be in Oakview Cemetery in Mullin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
He died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Hillview Manor Nursing Home in Goldthwaite.
He was born July 27, 1924, in Locker to Kleber and Callie Adams Crouch, and was married to Bonita Faye Williams on April 7, 1943, in Goldhthwaite. He moved to Mullin from Arizona. He was a Baptist and a minister. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita Faye Williams Crouch of Mullin; two daughters, Jean Smith and Bonita Mackey, both of Mullin; a son, James Crouch and wife Lisa of Houston; a brother, Louis Crouch of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Pauline Tompkins of Baytown; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Lee Franklin and Faith Adena Crouch; and two brothers, Alvin Crouch and Everett Crouch.
