GLADEWATER – Services for Bill Travis Lambert Sr., 84, of Gladewater will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday  at the Gladewater First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dick Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park.

    Born on Aug. 31, 1926, in Brownwood, he died on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.

    A retired insurance salesman, he was a former owner and operator of Lambert’s Package Store for 22 years. He was a member of the Gladewater First United Methodist Church and the Ages and Stages Sunday School class.

    He is survived by two sons, Bill T. Lambert Jr. of Fredericksburg and Michael R. Lambert of Gladewater; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva Gertrude Lambert; wife, Beaulah V. Lambert; daughter, Patricia L. Bernhardt; and two sisters, Tylene Hudson and Shirley Howell.

    Pallbearers will be Matt Lambert, Blake Lambert, Andy York, Eddy Franks, John Bernhardt and Travis Locklear.

    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at Crowley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
