ELDORADO — Funeral services for William “Bill” “Blackie” Radle Jr., 84, of Eldorado, wil be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Eldorado Cemetery Chapel.

He died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at a San Angelo hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman. Another visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eldorado Cemetery Chapel.

He was born July 11, 1923, in the Cleveland Community in Coleman County, the son of William and Nancy Janie Phillips Radle. He was married to Norma Louise Sparks on May 21, 1949, in Valera. He worked for Joe Mathews in Santa Anna for 15 years as a mechanic and truck driver. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 28 years. He was a volunteer fireman in Sonora and Eldorado. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Sonora.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Louise Radle of Eldorado; one daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Gary Brawner of San Angelo; four grandchildren; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Jo Odom in 2007; two brothers, Charlie Radle and Phillip Radle; his parents; and two sisters, Willie Lednicky and Selma Russell.
