COLEMAN — Services for James Tony Owen, 52, of Coleman, are set for 11 a.m. today at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Jeff Moore officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
He died Friday, June 13, 2008, at his home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1955, in Santa Anna to Charles Ray and Glenna Faye James Owen. He was raised in Santa Anna and attended the Santa Anna schools. On June 19, 1983, he was married to Vickie Farris in Coleman. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He was a mechanic and welder with LVI for the past three years and had been an employee with the City of Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Owen of Coleman; a son, Brandon and his wife Dominga Owen, also of Coleman; two sisters, Kay and her husband Tommy Dyer of Coleman; and Linda Sue Howard of Brownwood; one brother, Donald and his wife Billie of Cedar Creek Lake, Calif.; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Maggie Mc-Donald.
