Mr. Richardson passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, in Greenville, South Carolina, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Kenneth Grant Richardson Jr. was born July 11, 1943, in Brownwood, Texas, to Kenneth Grant Richardson Sr. and Alice Harris Richardson. He was raised and educated in Brown County.
Mr. Richardson has been married to his wife, Christine for 23 years. He worked as a technical illustrator.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Christine Richardson of Greenville, S.C.; one son, Kenneth Grant Richardson III, currently serving in Afghanistan; two daughters, Jennifer Richardson of Rush Center, Kan., and Katie Richardson of Mesquite, Texas; one brother, Robert Richardson and wife Candy of Cool, Calif.; three sisters, Margie Blair of Carrollton, Texas, and Katy Vasquez and Cheryl Gicoff, both of Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Arlene Richardson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Anne Richardson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Vicki Richardson of Decatur, Ala.; one brother-in-law, Wayne Spearman of Early, Texas; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Alice Richardson; four brothers, Phillip, Richard, Ronald and Tommy Richardson; and sister, Judy Spearman.
Mr. Richardson was cremated and a private memorial was held in South Carolina. Palmetto Crematory Services was in charge of arrangements.
