Alma Juanita Cornelius Bramlet, 96, of Brownwood, died Sept. 5, 2007.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Laurance Blackstock officiating. Interment will be at Zephyr Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

She was born July 1, 1911, to Alonzo Antney and Minnie Emma Baker Cornelius, in Brown County near Turkey Peak.

She married Virgil H. Bramlet in Brown County on April 19, 1934.

While growing up, she attended the Turkey Peak and Beaird Hill schools. She was very involved in local riding clubs and their parades, and was the Rising Star and May Riding Club sweetheart for 20 years, in which she designed and made her own riding

clothes.

She lived in Brownwood for more than 60 years. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Hagar of Rising Star; grandchildren, Chris, Megan, Aaron and Tabatha Hagar; great-grandchildren, Karley and Christian Weber; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Virgil H. Bramlet; her parents, Antney and Minnie Cornelius, her brothers and sister, Clifton, Elton, G.D. (Bill) and Lee Dell Cornelius, and Estelle Martin.
