COLEMAN — Graveside services for Lucille King Herring, 88, of Angleton will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Kermit Sorrells officiating. Eastern Star services will be held.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Henderson Funeral Home in Coleman.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007,
She was born May 29, 1919, in Baughn, N.M. to Albert N. and Inez Munselle King. She was married to Mancel Cleve Herring on Nov. 27, 1935, in May. She was a member of the Baptist church and Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and partner with her husband in Herring Jewelers for many years retiring in 1978.
Survivors include her husband, Mancel Herring of Angelton; two sons, Roy Cleve and wife Susie Herring of Whitney, and Leslie Don and wife Claudie Herring of Lake Jackson; one daughter Sharon Childs of Richmond; one brother, Cecil King and wife Sue of Brownwood; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
