BRADY — Funeral services for Natalio DeLafuente, 78, of Austin, formerly of Brady, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with burial to be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

He died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, in San Angelo.

He was born July 3, 1929, in Floresville to Andres and Delfina (Quijano) Escobedo. He was married to Juanita Cantu on March 15, 1951, in Brady.

He was a self-employed carpenter in Austin for more than 30 years, and he worked the Hill Country Creamery in Brady for 25 years and also for E.J. Wall. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his former spouse, Juanita San Juan of Brady; two sons, Tony DeLafuente, and Sam DeLafuente and wife Cathy, all of Brady; five daughters, Rebecca Ford and husband Walter, Sara Lara and husband Daniel, Carmen DeLafuente and husband Thomas David, and Suzanne Ramirez and husband Paul, all of San Angelo, and Nellie Hernandez and husband Johnny of Brady; a daughter-in-law, Robyn Allen of Buda; 26 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David; three sisters, Victoria Gomez, Adelina Sanchez and Cresencia Sanchez; and one granddaughter, Adrea Ramirez.
