Funeral services for Charles Breedlove, 70, of Lake Brownwood, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Davis and Dr. Robert Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery.
Charles passed away on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1936, in Coleman to Albert and Lilly Aleene Herd Breedlove. He attended Coleman schools and married Nita Traylor on Dec. 21, 1957, in First Baptist Church, Coleman.
Charles worked for Goodyear Tire Co. as a store manager for several years before moving to Austin and purchasing his own Firestone location. He owned and operated the Perry Rose Firestone store in the Capital Plaza shopping center for a number of years before retiring. He later owned an aircraft refinishing business before moving to Lake Brownwood and purchasing Don Johnson Realtors. He later sold the real estate business to Mark Campbell, retiring for the third time. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church and Dr. Robert Smith’s Sunday School Class. While in Austin, Charles taught a high school Sunday school class for many years at Allandale Baptist Church.
Charles is survived by his wife, Nita Breedlove of Lake Brownwood; two sons, Greg Breedlove and wife, Janet, of Taylor, Texas, and Scott Breedlove of South Texas; a granddaughter, Ami Mayfield and husband, Jonathan, of London, England; and a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
