PRIDDY — Funeral services for Elsa Senger, 94, of Goldthwaite will be held at 2 p.m. today, at Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy, with the Pastor Don Kingman officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Priddy, under the direction of Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite.
She died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Hamilton General Hospital.
She was born Jan. 3, 1915, in Hamilton County, to Joseph Heptner and Martha (Raemsett) Heptner. She was married to Albert Senger on Nov. 4, 1935, in Priddy. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Priddy. She was a farmer and homemaker.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin and Lora Senger of Greenville and Charles and Yvonne Senger of Comanche; daughter, Joe Ann and Lester Geeslin of Goldthwaite; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Ida Sommerfeld, Gertrude Schrank, Annie Garrett, Walter Heptner, and Milton Heptner; sister-in-law, Betty Senger; and a number of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Elfreida Scott and Meta Sommerfeld, and two brothers, Ervin Heptner and Wilbert Heptner.
