Mildred Novene “Dink” Todd was called home Sunday Oct. 21, 2007. She was born April 26, 1929 in Brown County to Herbert and Grace Glenn. On Dec. 28, 1947, she married Ray Todd in Cross Plains, Texas. She and Ray would have been married 60 years on their upcoming wedding anniversary. She was a public school teacher and an elementary counselor. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownwood, and a lifetime member of the Texas State Teachers Association. Dink has lived in May, Texas since 1980. Prior to moving back she and Ray lived in Hereford, Texas, for 16 years and Grapevine, Texas, for five years.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the May Methodist Church with interment to follow in the May Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Heartland Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband Ray Todd of May, Texas, two daughters, Carroll and her husband Karl French of Keller, Texas, and Debbie and husband Alan Wagner of Springdale, Ark. Dink is also survived by her grandchildren Todd French, Karla Abbott, Jennifer Reed, and Mark Wagner. She had seven lovely great-grandchildren. Dink is survived by two sisters Barbara Wood of May, Texas, and Sue Ferguson of Spring Branch, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Windle Glenn.
