Graveside services for Nettie Mae Gober Lawson, 86, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at Cedar Point Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She died Tuesday, May 8, 2007.
She was born Nov. 4, 1920 in Mills County to Rufus and Minnie James Gober. A lifelong resident of Brownwood, she was a Pentecostal by church membership and was a homemaker. She was the “baby” of the family and treated as such by her brothers and sisters. Her family was very important to her but she dedicated her life to her Lord and Master, Jesus Christ. She was loved and respected by family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son, Homer Joseph Lawson and wife Bo of Powderly, Paul Allen Lawson and wife Johnnie of Brownwood; daughter, Alma Wolfe and husband Emmitt of Woodbridge, Va.; daughters-in-law, Earline Lawson of Brownwood and Rhonda Lawson of Early; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Foy R. Lawson; son, Foy E. Lawson; daughter, Virginia Thrash; sons, Kenneth Lawson and Damon Lawson; granddaughter, Lillian Lawson; grandson, Troy Lawson; and parents, Rufus and Minnie Gober.
