Funeral services for Edna Ellen Butler, age 90, of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebony Cemetery.
Mrs. Butler died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2009, at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 20, 1919, in Mills County, the daughter of Wiley Jackson and Lula Ellen Lawson Egger. She was a Baptist and a long-time resident of the area. She was married to John Lem “Shorty” Butler, who preceded her in death.
She was loved very much by her family and will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her children, Dale Butler and his wife Nell of Richland Springs, Elena Myers and her husband Eddie of Brownwood, J. T. Butler and his wife Neta of May, J. B. Perry of Brownwood, and Manny Fulton of Brownwood; and six generations of grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her children, Mary Coeta Perry, L. M. Butler and twin M. L. Butler, Standley Butler and Hazel Robbins; grandchildren Brenda Mills and John Fulton; and 10 brothers and sisters.
