COMANCHE — Funeral services for Tommy Rogers, 62, of Comanche will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Van Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Comanche County Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Portales, N.M., to Isaac Rogers and Nora (White) Rogers. He was a truck driver employed by Gore Bros. in Comanche. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Comanche. He was married to Nancy Terrell on Jan. 16, 1974, in Comanche.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rogers of Comanche; daughters, Misty and husband Tarrence Rogers of Comanche and Lina Terrell of Alvarado; sons, Larry Rogers of Comanche, Jeremy Dossey of Gatesville, Chris Farrar of Iraq, Johnny Cain of Fredericksburg, and Tommy Dwayne Cain of New Mexico; three grandchildren; and sisters, Lois Atwood of Muleshoe and Mickie Walkey of Portales, N.M.
