Barbara Jean Holmberg, 77, of Bangs, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at her home at 906 North West St. in Bangs with Pastor Terry Hancock officiating.
Mrs. Holmberg was born July 18, 1929, in Cashmere, Wash. On June 18, 1949, she married Glen Donald Holmberg. They moved to Bangs in 1981.
She is survived by two sons, Scot Holmberg and wife Margaret of Bangs and Clifford Holmberg and wife Deby of California; two daughters, Chris Stacey and husband Richard of Oklahoma and Kathy Everette and husband Larry of Georgia; and her cousin, Dale Seaburg of Bangs. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Mary Larson and husband Curtis of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Donald Holmberg; two grandchildren, Candice Nicole Holmberg and Davin Bjourn Holmberg; and her parents, Clark and Grace Bixler.
Barbara Jean Holmberg was a wonderful mother, a super grandmother and a very special mother-in-law.
Her body was donated to science to give life and hope to others.
Memorials may be given to the Bangs Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders.
