Graveside services for Bobby Lee Williams, 73, of Brownwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Blake Cemetery in northern Brown County, near the Williams Community, with Brother Elmer Salazar officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral and Cremation Services of Early.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Brownwood Regioinal Medical Center.
He was born April 6, 1934, in Florence, Texas, the son of Foster Robert and Velma Woods Williams. They moved to Brownwood during his early years and he had lived here since. He was married to Glenda Broughton on July 7, 1958, in Brownwood. They divorced in 1985, but continued to remain as close friends from that time. He was an active member of the Lake Brownwood Lions Club and a Baptist. He was well-known in the coffee shops where he spent much of his time in his later years. He had worked as a maintenance supervisor at Texas Feathers for several years prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Perry and her husband Kirk of Newburg; son, Foster Williams and his wife Patricia, also of Newburg; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Albert Joseph Williams; a daughter, Edna Williams; and a sister, Bonnie Benay Williams.
