William R. Hendrix passed away very peacefully, Sunday, July 29, 2007, at 1:44 p.m. in Brownwood, Texas, he was 67 years old.
William Randolph Hendrix grew up in the Gulf Coast area, mainly in Houston, Texas. At the age of 17, he was married to Judith D. Bonetati, they had two children, Dean and Rusty Hendrix. Shortly after being married, he was accepted by the U.S. Marines, realizing one of his boyhood dreams. At the age of 25, he became a follower of Jesus Christ and was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was known as Randy Hendrix, and had two more sons Jacob and Brad while married to Patricia Harper. During the last 10 years of his life he was married to Jean Barney from Rochester, N.Y. Dad was truly a jack of all trades, with an entrepreneur spirit. He always had a new idea for a new business venture or the next big wave. Mostly, Dad loved his family, and would have given whatever he had to anyone in need.
Graveside services will be held for him at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at the Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Please pray for blessings on these services and for anyone in attendance who does not know Jesus Christ. Pray they will hear these words, not only in their minds but in their heart and soul. This is the message Dad would have wanted others to know about his life.
