Marjorie Faye Anderson, 77, of Brownwood, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at the regional hospital. Under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home, a memorial service for Marjorie will be held by the family at a later date.

Marjorie was born Aug. 31, 1931, to George Elmer and Ola Mae (Holcomb) Scifres in Walnut Springs, Texas. She attended school and graduated from Early High School in the class of 49. Following graduation, she attended junior college and later moved to El Paso to attend a business school. She had deep love for the water and enjoyed boating specially on the Chesapeake Bay. Marjorie was a long- time resident at the Manor and the longest leader of the tenant association. She also had a passion for sewing and became a master seamstress in all areas.

Marjorie is survived by sons, Fred Anderson and wife Karin of northern Virginia, and John Anderson of Maryland; brothers, Don, Wayne, and Travis Gunter, and Gayle Scifres; and sister, Pat Westfall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gorge and Ola Mae Scifres.
