Graveside funeral services for Lewis “L.N.” Hitchcock, age 67, of Paige Texas, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, in Greenleaf Cemetery with the Rev. Al Creel officiating.
Mr. Hitchcock passed away Monday, July 7, 2008, in Wimberley, Texas.
Services for Lewis “L.N.” Hitchcock, are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Mr. Hitchcock was born in Brownwood, Texas, on June 25, 1941, to the late Lester and Virginia Squyres Hitchcock. He attended school in Brownwood, and served his country through the United States Army.
He married Loretta Pike in Houston. He had been a bus driver for Capitol Metro in Austin for several years. His passions in life were woodworking and going to the beach. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Bastrop, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Hitchcock of Brownwood; two sisters, Virginia Ruth Hitchcock Chambers of Wimberley, Texas, and Eula Jane McClanahan of Mabank, Texas; one aunt, Beth Hitchcock Chambers of Brownwood; three cousins; three step-daughters, Yolanda Smith of Brownwood, Paula Haynes of Brownwood and Jana Hawkins of Brownwood; and special friend, Donald Allgood of Brownwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Virginia Hitchcock; stepfather, Stanley Graves; and twin brother, George Hitchcock.
