COMANCHE — Funeral services for Mary Ruth Wilson, 99, of Comanche will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sally Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Erath County.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today, at Comanche Funeral Home.
Lunch will follow the funeral services at First United Methodist Church.
She died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Comanche County Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Dublin, to Sam P. Richards and Mamie (McCarley) Richards. She was a teacher at Hasse, Seldon, Huckabay and May. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Comanche and was a homemaker. She was married to Curtis Lambert Wilson on Aug. 29, 1929, in Dublin.
Survivors include her son, Robert R. “Bob” and wife Suzanne (Marshall) Wilson of Comanche; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Curtis Lambert Wilson Jr. and Sammy John Wilson; two grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Richards; and sisters, Alora and Irma.
