COLEMAN — Luberta Preas, 94, of Silver Valley, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery.
She was born Elizabeth Luberta Cox on March 3, 1913, in Comanche County, a daughter of Jesse Johnson Cox and Willie Irene Pate Cox. On Dec. 4, 1931, she was married to Curtis Arnold Preas in Coleman County. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1969.
Survivors include two sons, Donald J. Preas of North Richland Hills and Cecil Gene Preas of Midland; two daughters, Irene Gildon of Rockport and Brenda Wells of Silver Valley; one sister, Sadie Cox of Odessa; one brother, Cecil R. Cox of Odessa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by six children, Maxine Malone, Vivian Haupert, Duane Preas, Linda Preas, Larry Preas and Terry Preas; granddaughter, Heather Rogers; and great-granddaughter, Micayla Barnett.
Family visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
