Funeral services for Anna Lee Hanna-Thompson, 78, of May, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with Brother Charles Fortenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
She died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007.
She was born Aug. 25, 1928 in Locker to Melvin and Nel Nugent Vest. She was a member of North Lake Community Church. A lifelong resident, she was a waitress and cashier at The Texas Cafe. In 1945, she married the Rev. Hollis Howard Hannah, and in 1991, she married Edwin V. Thompson.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Hanna of Canyon Lake, Ruby Thornburg and husband, Hugh, of Fairfield and Lee Nickerson and husband, Wayne, of May; grandchildren, Joe Woodcox Jr., Kesha Brant, Dakota and Aaron Thornburg and Amber Thomas, and Heather Frith; great-grandchildren, Anita Marie and Kelly Lynn and Jamie Lee Woodcox, Phoenix Alyssa Brant, Chandler Frith, and Tegan Thomas; one brother, Jack Vest; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husbands, the Rev. Hollis Hanna and Edwin Thompson; grandchild - Jay Dean Hanna; parents - Melvin and Nel Vest; five sisters; and one brother.
