Funeral Services for Nova Imogene "Jean" Lloyd, 80, of Brownwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood with Rick Justice officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

She passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at her home in Brownwood with her family by her side, after a short battle with cancer. Imogene was born on Nov. 1, 1931 in Coleman County, Texas, to William Wesley "Wes" and Della Elmira (Hudson) Horton. She was married to David Lloyd on Oct. 15, 1948. They spent 60 happy years together devoted to their three daughters, family and friends. Imogene was loved by everyone she knew. She was a friend, mother and grandmother to everyone. She was also a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed family outings and gatherings.

She is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Dosier and husband Barney of Weatherford and Rhonda Smith of Early; four grandchildren, Melissa Lewis of Burleson, Brian Dosier of Fort Worth, Christopher Henson of Comanche and Jonathan Smith of Brownwood; one great-grandchild Madison Lewis; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Imogene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Lloyd; daughter, Linda Henson; three brothers; and one sister.
