Funeral services for Ruth Jeanne Crockett, 81, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Mr. Shawn Williams officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She passed away Thursday evening, June 11, 2009, in a Wills Point nursing home with her family at her side.
Ruth was born May 26, 1928, in Brampton, N.D., the daughter of George Buchmiller and Margaret Baird Buchmiller. She graduated from Brampton High School and attended teacher training in Minneapolis, Minn. On May 20, 1965, she was married to James H. Crockett in Florala, Ala. They lived in Indiana prior to moving to Wills Point in 1977. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Wills Point Church of Christ until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her only brother, Bruce Buchmiller; and a grandson, Geoffrey Daner.
Survivors include her husband, James H. Crockett, of Wills Point; two sons, Bruce Crockett and wife, Devona, of Steele, Mo., and David Crockett, of McKinney; three daughters, Deanna Kenyon, of Dallas Teri Daner and husband, Dave, of Berlin, N.J., and Patricia Brower and husband, Kollen, of Allen; sister, Fern Meseberg and husband, Royal, of Spring; four grandchildren, Blake Crockett, Natalie Crockett, Jonathan Crockett, and Adam Kenyon; and many other relatives and friends.
