BRADY — Funeral services for Sabina Perez, 77, of Brady, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with Father George officiating. Burial followed at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.
The family received friends and a rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, in Brownwood.
She was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Koscuisko, Texas, to Geraldo and Solia Hernandez Villerreal. On June 25, 1945, she married Domingo Perez Sr. in Brady. She retired from Roddie Wool after working there for over 41 years. A member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady, she was also an active volunteer at the Helping Hands Senior Citizens Center in Brady, as well as a member of the Guadalupanas and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to garden and peruse garage sales.
Survivors include her son, Domingo Perez Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Brownwood; daughters, Eloisa Kniss and husband, Stan, of Georgetown, Argentina Bernal and husband, Frank, of Brownwood, Mary Sanchez and husband, Roy, of Brady, Yolanda Moreno and husband, Tony, of Brownwood, Anita Melot and husband, David, of Bangs, Rosaelia Lopez and the late Jeff Lopez of Brady, Belinda Moreno and the late Israel Moreno of Cleburne; a sister, Anita Granados and husband, Mike, of Richland Springs; 27 grandchildren, Rick and Lisa Meir of Powder Springs, Ga., Jeff and Michele Shimex, Juan Domingo and Cathey Moreno, Elisha Perez, Christopher and Nichole Laureles, Victor Ray and Christine Bara, all of Austin, Sonny and George Duron of Pasadena, Calif., Larry Duron of Georgetown, Gabriel and Darlene Sanchez, Joey Sanchez, Michael and Jo Ann Ramirez all of Brady, Joe and Patricia Maciel, Elias and Cassandra Luna of San Angelo, Roy Sanchez Jr., Cynthia Solis, Eddie and Christina Moreno of Brownwood, Tony Moreno Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Waco, Texas, Jason and Amy Laureles, Nina Bara of Cleburne, Johnson Ross and Paige Perez of Fort Worth, Matthew Ramirez, Abby Jr. and Latisha Ramirez of Victoria, Jessica Moreno of Lubbock, Angelica Rodriguez of Houston, Melissa Sanchez , currently stationed in San Antonio, and Jonathan Laureles currently stationed in Iraq; 41 great-grandchildren, Trini, Laruren, Ricky, Noah, Brandon, Anthony, Celina, Bianca, Anthony, Thomas, Joey Jr., Christian, Ashley, Elias Jr., Elena, Andrew, April, Christal, Brandon, Anthony, Alex, Landon, Holley, Mia, Ethen, Ian, Sabina, Brooklyn, Domingo Cruz, Camryn, Tatum, Morgan, DeAnna, Lea, Cody, Avery, Christian, Laurien, Katrina, Julia, Alyssa and Conner, Elroy Jr. John Paul and Daniel; two great-great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Aden; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two great-great-grandchildren.
