Graveside funeral services for Raymond Turner, 91, of Brownwood, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with Bill Slaymaker officiating under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, in Brownwood.
He was born on Sept. 17, 1917, in Fostoria to Lee and Fanny McIlvain Turner. He graduated from Cleveland High School and served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army. He retired from sales and service of oil field fishing tools in New Mexico and Texas. He was a Baptist.
Suvivors include a sister, Odessa Swinney of Lakeside, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian Turner; two sisters, Grace Orr and Elsie Pruitt; and two brothers, Louie and Chester Turner.
