COMANCHE - Graveside services for John Jay Jones, 55, of Gustine will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, at Union Cemetery with President Ernest Mylroie officiating. Comanche Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Comanche County Medical Center.
He was born March 5, 1953, in Logan, Utah, to John Junior Jones and Shirley M. (Horn) Jones. He was married to Corinna Sue Mylroie on April 28, 2001, in Newton, Utah. He was an iron worker who had been employed by Nucor Steel in Plymouth, Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Comanche.
Survivors include his wife, Corrie Jones of Gustine; sons, Cody Jones of Logan, Utah, Hawk Carter of Nibley, Utah, Jeremiah Beckstead of Gustine and Tristin Jones of Gustine; daughters,Victoria Morris of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Angela Marie Middleton of Parkville, Md.; seven grandchildren; his mother, Shirley Jones of Logan, Utah; a sister, Sherrie Kaae of Logan, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Jones; and a nephew, Derek Hansen.
