Grace E. Winters, 94, of Brownwood, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell, Okla. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell, Okla. Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Grace Knox was born March 13, 1913, in Mayesville, Okla., the daughter of James Luke and Francis Cleveland Mote Knox. Grace married Raymond F. Winters on Sept. 15, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was a member of Brownwood Chapter 116, Order of Eastern Star, past worthy matron from 1969 to 1970; she was Beta Sigma Phi president from 1959 to 1960; and a member of Brownwood First United Methodist Church. Grace has lived in Brownwood since 1951.
Survivors include a son, Terry W. Pollard and wife, Norma, of Cross Plains; five grandchildren, Terry James Pollard of Austin, Norman S. Pollard of Katy, Suzanne Nurre of Houston, Dr. Chris Pollard of Wylie and Michelle Pollard of Cross Plains; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Francis Griffin of Norman, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Julia Pearl Foster in 1997 and Jimie Lois Smith in 2007.
