COLEMAN - Funeral services for Mark Wilkins, 76, of Coleman, will be at 2 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Cleveland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today, before the service.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008.
He was born Sept. 20, 1931, in May, Texas, the son of Albert Hezekiah Wilkins and Kizzy Caldwell Wilkins. He grew up in Comanche County and attended school at Van Dyke. He was married to Ruth Jean Weatherford in 1962 in Mesquite. She preceded him in death on Sept. 4, 1988. He was a Custodian for Garland Independent School District for many years and moved back to Coleman eight years ago. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his caregiver and niece, Rita Rosalez of Coleman; two daughters, Teresa Ellen Murphy and Stephanie Ann Pollay; one sister, Dorothy Sinks of Glen Rose; three grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Brooks and three brothers, Charlie Wilkins, Albert Wilkins and his twin brother, Mack Wilkins.
Memorials be made to Holiday Hill Nursing Home or Hospice of the Big Country.
