PITTSBURG — Graveside services for Nellie Marie Simon, age 76, of Pittsburg will be held at 3 p.m. today, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, with the Rev. Kyle Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time today, at Erman Smith Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
She was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Winters, to James Tomlinson and Rosa Lee Felty. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, taught Sunday School a number of years, Gideons Association.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Ann Turner and husband Bill of Pittsburg, Julie Marie Wagner and husband Jerry of Zephyr, and Kathy Lynn Cutler and husband Todd of Plano; six grandchildren, Renee French and husband Ross of Tyler, Shauna Turner of Longview, Jessica Benson and husband Jeff of Brownwood, James Gresham of Stephenville, Matthew Cutler and wife Areta of Washington, D.C., and Laurie Cutler of Plano; three great-grandchildren, Nathanael, Ian, and William French; sister, Wanda Flanagin of Brownwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Dorman R. Simon Sr. in 2004, and Oscar Wilkirson in 1993; and other relatives.
