Dennis Lynn Hill, age 65, of Bangs died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, in the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with the Rev. Benny M. Allcorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 23, at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Brown County, the son of Albert Lynn and Bennie Jean Elkins Hill. He had been a resident of Brown County all of his life and worked at the USDA Pecan Station for many years until recently when he retired. He was married to Ann Gay in Brownwood on Feb. 14, 2003.

He loved his family and being with them. He also loved to farm and he enjoyed his work at the Pecan Station. He loved most animals, especially his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Hill of Bangs; children, Dalisa Loyd and her husband Danny of Brownwood, Vance Hill of Brownwood and Shana Scott and husband David of Fort Worth; stepchildren, Sarah Gay and husband Trent of San Angelo; Deanne Bishop, Sarah Goins and husband Danny, and Jeffery Clark and wife Jeannie, all of Brownwood; two brothers, Douglas Dewayne Hill and Rodney Dale Hill both of Brownwood; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Don Hill.
