Funeral Mass for Adan Balderrama, 84, of Brownwood, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Barry McLean will be officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. A wake service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in the funeral home chapel.

Our beloved uncle entered into Heaven on Saturday, the 2nd of June, but will remain in out hearts eternally.

Adan T. Balderrama was born in Bigfoot, Texas, on June 7, 1922 to Julio and Delfina Balderrama. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for the Continental Grain Company for many years and retired from Superior Cable.

He is survived by a sister, Amelia Ramos of Devine, Texas; sister-in-law Ina Balderrama of Brownwood, Texas; nieces Gloria Gamble and Linda Balderrama of Brownwood, Texas; Grave Alvarez of Dallas, Texas; nephew Gilbert Balderrama of St. Louis, Mo.; niece Shirley Pompa of Divine, Texas; Bertha Gutierrez of Dallas, Texas; Alicia Garcia of Colton, Calif.; Alamar Castro of Santa Maria, Calif.; niece Dr. Tina B. Kubicek and son Christopher Morse of Austin, Texas; nephews Edward, Richard, Raul and Arthur Balderrama and niece Alice of Austin, Texas. Also great-nephew Michal Miller of Oahu, Hawaii; great-niece Stacey Perez and Anthony Perez of Brownwood, Texas; great-great-niece Marisa Perez; and great-great nephew John Perez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Balderrama was preceded in death by his parents Julio and Delfina Balderrama; brothers Jose, Gilbert, Noe, Juvencio and Melquiades Balderrama; and sisters Ina Yanez, Eva Alcaraz, Rosa and Elida.
