Dewey Jason Trichel, age 27, of Brownwood, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth from injuries received in an oil field accident.

Memorial services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Cleveland Cemetery with Pastor Stan Roberts officiating. Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Dewey Jason Trichel was born Aug. 2, 1980, in Alexandria, La., the son of Dewey Dewayne and Dorothea Denise Dillard Trichel. He attended school in Santa Anna. Jason was a loving and caring son and brother. He worked in the oil field as a derrick hand. He had lived in Brownwood the past 10 months.

Survivors include his fiancee, Laura Halmark of Brownwood; mother, Dorothea Dee Dillard of Bangs; sister, Christina Isom and husband Brad, of Blanket; grandmother, Pauline Scott of Santa Anna; grandfather, R.B. Dillard Sr. of Lake Brownwood; grandparents, Dewey and Mary Trichel of Natchitoches, La.; nieces, Alieya Isom of Blanket and Hannah Brown of Early; nephews, Tanner Isom of Blanket and Kaleb Minter of Early; uncles, R.B. Dillard Jr. and wife Debbie Darrell Dillard and wife Cora, Eddie Dillard and wife Phyllis and David Dillard, all of Santa Anna, and Abraham Dillard, Jonathan Dillard and Aaron Dillard, all of Brownwood. Many cousins and friends also survive.
