COLEMAN — Graveside services for J W Duff, 96, of Brownwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, in the Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Charlie Fortenbery officiating. Burial to follow under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
He died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Care, Inc.
He was born Jan. 22, 1914, in Kribes, Okla., to John Elmer and Fannie Mae Dunn Duff. On Aug. 31, 1935, he was married to Lillie McCoy in Seminole, Okla. He served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a petroleum engineer. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was a petroleum engineer employed with Gulf Oil Corp for 41 years.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Jo Garton of Garber, Okla.; and two nephews; Harvey Duff of Brownwood and Clark Duff of El Paso.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Duff.
