Vinos G. (Slim) Bradford of Early passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2008. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at North Ridge Baptist Church with Dennis Williams officiating. All arrangements are by Heartland Funeral Home.

V. G. was born April 10, 1925, in Gorman, to Vinos W. and Gladys Bradford. He attended school in Duster and Comyn. He married Helen Luttrull on Aug. 20, 1948, in Levelland. They were blessed with three children, Sharon, Michael, and Craig. V. G. was employed in the oilfield construction business all his life. He was owner of Bradford Construction and Bradford and Bradford Construction. The life in the oilfield took V. G. and his family to Sundown, Brownfield and Pearsall, Texas. Upon retirement he and his wife moved back to be near his mother and family in Early.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vinos W. and Gladys Bradford, one sister Jean Aslakson, one brother John L. Bradford, and two grandsons, Justin Bradford and Blake Bradford.

V. G. is survived by his wife, Helen of Brownfield; his children, Sharon and Jerry Liles of Meadow, Michael and Shah Bradford of Early, Craig and Lisa Bradford of Dahlonega, Ga.; his grandchildren, Larry and Christy Liles of Frisco, David Liles of Lubbock, Travis and Shyna Bradford of St. Hedwig, Michael Keith Bradford of Early, Kirk Bradford and Eric Bradford both of Dahlonega, Ga., Austin and Cindi Fowler of Lakewood, Calif., Justin Fowler of Brownwood and Bray Liles of Meadow; his great-grandchildren, Abby and Lexi Liles of Frisco, Ansley Bradford of Dahlonega, Ga., Caden Liles of Meadow, Haven and Aidan Fowler of Lakewood, Calif.; his brothers; Bob Bradford of Zephyr, Mack Bradford of Colorado City, his sisters; Betty Aslakson of De Leon, Jody Madison of Stanton, Sue Davis of Houston, and Judy Jacks of Comanche; his loving special caregiver, Freida Campbell; and his other loving family members and friends.
