Oland Donald Hill, age 65, of Brownwood passed away Nov. 23, 2007, at his home after a long illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Cemetery in Mitchell County. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m.
Don was born Oct. 13, 1942, in San Angelo, Texas, to parents Oland Duskin and Myrtle Maude Heleman Hill.
Don loved to laugh and loved to visit with people. He loved his family and friends, and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. Don was a truck driver for many years and served his country in the Army.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Willie Mae “Billie” Hill of Brownwood; daughters, Dawn Hill Baggett, Gerrie Hill Tvrdik and husband James of Brownwood; brother, Jerry Hill and wife Yang Cha of Magnolia, Texas; sister, Elaine Jordan of Brownwood; grandchildren, Lucas Farley, Timothy Upshaw, Nikcoal Upshaw, Tiffanie Nava, Chris Nava, Cathryn Tvrdik, Maegan Stephens and Ashley Tvrdik; aunt, Mildred Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duskin and Myrtle Hill; son, Jimmie Don Hill; daughter, Michelle Upshaw; sister, Louise Kennemer; and two sons-in-law, Eddie Baggett and Roger Dale Upshaw.
