SANTA ANNA — Funeral services for Ida Lee Jackson, 89, of San Antonio will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Arthur Switzer officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Anna Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

    She died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Paramount Nursing and Rehab  Center.

    She was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Valley View, to Arthur E. and Maggie M. Baird Switzer. On April 7, 1940, she was married to Otis Daymond Jackson in Santa Anna. She was Baptist,  a homemaker and retired from Holiday Hill Nursing Home in 1995 where she had worked as a nurse’s aide.

    Survivors include her daughter, Geneva Anderson and husband Harry of San Antonio; son, Clayton Jackson and wife Carolyn of Midland; daughter-in-law, Mary Jackson of Meadowlakes; two sisters, Nell Yancy of Santa Fe and Jane Lovelady of  San Marcos; three brothers, Edmond Switzer of  Alvin, Ray Switzer of Bangs, and Otis Switzer of  Santa Fe; eight grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Jeanette Jackson; son, Dayton Jackson; two sisters, Marie Stephens and Greta Kline; and two brothers, A. J. Switzer and Thomas Switzer.
