A memorial service for J.D. Tedford, 76, of Brownwood will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Ryan Smithey officiating.

    He passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Cremation was under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

    J.D. was born on Nov. 9, 1933, in Rochester to Neal and Eunice Covey Tedford. He has lived in Brownwood since 1971 moving here from Clyde. He was a retired route salesman for Foremost Dairy, a member of the Fourth and Stewart Street Church of Christ and was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

    He is survived by his wife, Charlene Tedford of Brownwood; sons, Johnny Tedford and wife Cherri Tedford of Brownwood, Tracy Tedford and wife Starla of Brownwood; a daughter, Syree Boulter and husband Jim of Denver City; grandchildren, Ethan Boulter, Kali Tedford and Casey Carlisle; great-grandchildren, Avery and Tanner Carlisle; and sisters, Rosemary Cupps and Pansy Anderson.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
