Herman O. Stoll, 86, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

    He was born July 11, 1923, in Taylor, Texas, to the late Sam and Ida Stoll. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, Herman served in World War II for three years, two and a half of which were in the European Theatre attached to the 8th Air Force. He was employed by A&P Food Stores for 18 years, and later retired from Norwich Eaton Laboratories after 21 years of service. After retirement, Herman took up vegetable farming as a hobby and farmed until 2006, when he declared his working days done. He was a resident of Little Rock since 1963 and had wonderful neighbors. A loving father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed.

    In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his wife, Hildegard Stoll; one brother, A.J. Stoll; one sister, Edna Margozavitz; and one son-in-law, Fred Marshall Muirhead.

    Survivors include one daughter, Sharyn Muirhead of Blanket, Texas; two sisters, Norma Powell of Corsicana, Texas and Ruby Holubec of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Fred Eric Muirhead and wife Ammie of Blanket, Texas and Holly Denise Muirhead of Brownwood, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Max Cameron Muirhead, Payton Joyce Muirhead, and Alexandria Lyann Muirhead, and one great-great-grandson, Keegan Landon Muirhead, all of Blanket, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

    Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. Funeral Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
