The service of praise and thanksgiving for the life of Scherri Ann Coleman will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at the New Testament Holiness Church in Bangs. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. at the church Thursday.

Scherri left with the angels on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, in Brownwood, Texas, and arrived at her

heavenly home.

Scherri A. Coleman was born Oct. 13, 1953, in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Dallas and attended public schools there. She later attended Berian Christian School in Dallas. In 1974 she moved

to Coleman, Texas, where she attended New Testament Holiness Church. Scherri gave her life to Jesus at the early age of 13, while living in

Dallas. She remained a faithful and devoted member of the New Testament Holiness Church. She was a member of the Take Time to Care organization. She assisted the late Mother Brown who was the program director. She was preceded in death by one brother. Scherri leaves to mourn her home-going: her mother, Sister Lillie Coleman of Bangs, Texas; her brother, Michael Coleman of Dallas, Texas; uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. C. Ayers of Grand Prairie, Texas; Mr. And Mrs. Lutheran Jordan, of Dallas, Texas; an aunt, Gladys Jordan of Brownwood; and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.

Services are under the direction of Baker-Kirk Mortuary of Coleman, Texas.
