Rosie died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, in Brownwood.

She was born on Nov 24, 1919, in Waco to Emet and Viola Boatwright Holster. She had been a resident of Brownwood for 78 years. She married David Troy Bond on June 5, 1937, in Brownwood. He died Dec. 31, 1988. She was a member of the Pentecostal church.

If there was a Hall of Fame for Mothers, our mother would be in it. She denied any essentials for herself so we could have what we needed. She was unselfish almost to a fault.

Our mother raised us with not only with her rules, but also the rules of Our Lord. We were taught the Ten Commandments and were expected to live by them. Mother taught us these from the Bible and led us by her example.

She is survived by her five daughters, June Greenlee and husband Jim of Ovalo, Clova Eoff of Brownwood, Wilma Gray of Brownwood, Verda Gravell of Brownwood, and Freida Wetzel and husband Lumen of Troy; two sons, David Bond and wife Kathy of Brownwood, and Phillip Bond and wife Mona of Brownwood; 18 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers; a sister; a granddaughter, Donna Patience Eoff; and two great-granddaughters, Hallie Faith and Lisa Michelle.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Ministries, 305 Clark, Brownwood, TX 76801.
