Albert Rile Hughes was born in Coleman, Texas, on July 5, 1921, and passed peacefully into heavenly glory Monday morning, May 28, 2007.

After service in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Albert returned to his Texas bride, Billie Jean Myrick, and began a career that lasted over 50 years as a certified piano technician. He was a committed Christian and deacon, having faithfully served at First Baptist Church Cross Plains and Cottonwood Baptist Church, Cottonwood. Albert was a resident of Buckner Retirement Village, Dallas, Texas, for the final two years of his life.

Albert is survived by his wife of 65 years: Billie; daughter: Cindy Liebrum and husband Chris; son: Craig Hughes and wife Katha; grandchildren: Cory and Clay Liebrum, and Hannah and Caleb Hughes; cousin: Hazel Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Casa View Baptist Church, 2626 Gus Thomasson, Dallas, Texas. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, May, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
