EASTLAND — Jane W. Eidson, age 84, of Abilene formerly of Eastland died Friday in Abilene.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the First Christian Church with Jim Wright officiating burial will follow in Eastland City Cemetery.
Born Dec. 31, 1922, in Brownwood to Frank and Cora (Roundtree) Hardin. She attended Brownwood High School and Texas Women’s University in Denton. She married James Eidson on June 26, 1942, in Brownwood; he preceded her in death in 1993. They lived in Brownwood and Breckenridge for a short time before moving to Eastland in 1950. She worked for the B & W Clinic as office manager from 1960 to 1980 and was active in the First Christian Church. She enjoyed playing bridge, and reading and was a excellent cook. She was compassionate and considerate and would spend time checking on the welfare of others.
She is survived by daughters, Lynda and Harold Burford of Conroe, Texas, and Jean Ann Lee of Brownwood; son and daughter-in-law, James and Rebecca Eidson of Abilene, Texas; sister, Jean Hardin of Abilene; grandchildren and spouses, Lauren and Mike Pasket of Montgomery, Texas, Julie and Stephen Carrell of Bedias Texas, Scott and Monika Lee of Dallas, Texas, and Sam and Ali Eidson of Abilene Texas; four great-grandchildren, Katie and Tyler Case, and Alea and Jackson Carrell; long-lost cousin, Mona Bromley of Lubbock; and excellent and loving caregivers, Sandy Flores and Jenifer McMinn.
