COLEMAN — Funeral services for Edna Mae Jackson, 80, of Breckenridge and former longtime resident of Coleman, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Griffith officiating and assisted by William A. Bell. Burial will follow at Coleman City Cemetery.
She died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Breckenridge.
She was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Guion, Taylor County, the daughter of Bennie E. Floyd and Zellar Estelle Avery Floyd. She married Arlie C. Jackson on Sept. 2, 1945, in Coleman. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1979.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Bell of Temple, Connie Biggers of Arlington and Caroline Bell of Breckenridge; one sister, Estella Lamer of Sulphur, Okla.; three brothers, Pete Floyd of Coleman, Kenneth Floyd of Balch Springs, and Don Floyd of Chandler; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Blankenship in 2006; one brother, Odell Floyd in 1949; and a great-granddaughter, Allison Mae Bell in 1998.
