Opal Bell, age 76 of Brownwood passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
A resident of Brownwood for the last 20 years, she was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a born May 25, 1931, to O.B. and Flossie Barnes in Bangs, Texas.
A homemaker, she is survived by a son Bobby Harrell and wife Retha of Spring Branch; a daughter, Jeannie McGill and husband Dan of Grays Court, S.C.; grandchildren, Shannon, Kim, Brandi, Ronnie, Chris and wife Doreen, and Raye and husband Craig; and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, William Barnes and wife Shirley of Fort Worth; and a nephew, Ron Barnes of Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.B. and Flossie Barnes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Slaymaker officiating. Interment will follow in the May Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.
