COLEMAN – Funeral services for Julia Sanchez, 65, of Winters were held Monday, April 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coleman. Burial followed in Glen Cove Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at her home.
She was born Aug.17, 1944, in Eden, to Buddy Joe Morales and Blasa Rodriguez Morales. She was married to Jose Guadalupe Sanchez on Nov. 17, 1963. She was a nurse aide and a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jose Guadalupe Sanchez of Winters; her children, Yolanda Loya and husband Blas of Abilene, Jose Migel Sanchez and wife Rachelle of Ballinger, Norma Sanchez and Fernando Jimenez of Coleman, Monica Sanchez of Winters, Seslila Lugo and husband Tomas of McKinney, Jesus Sanchez and wife Leticia of Abilene, Presiliano Sanchez and wife Presilia of Abilene, and Esmeralda Sanchez of San Diego Calif.; brothers and sisters, Jose Morales Jr. and wife Alice of Coleman, Maria Torres of San Angelo, Alice Estrada and husband Felipe of Bronte, George Morales and wife Katherine of Lubbock, Johnny Morales and wife Sylvia of Denver City, and Angie Felipe and husband Manuel of Coleman; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nora M. Calvillo; sister, Carolina Luera; brother, Paul Morales; and a grandson.
